LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Eric Januszkiewicz upon the occasion of
his designation as a recipient of a 2013 Mid-Hudson Athletic League
Senior Scholar Athlete Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Eric Janusz-
kiewicz upon the occasion of his designation as a recipient of a 2013
Mid-Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) Senior Scholar Athlete Award; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Eric Januszkiewicz has distin-
guished himself as a young man of superlative ability, talent, and matu-
rity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purposeful-
ness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, Eric Januszkiewicz, a student at New Paltz High School in New
Paltz, New York, is ranked 3rd in his class and plays soccer, tennis,
and is a member of the wrestling team; and
WHEREAS, He is a member of National Honor Society, captain of the
wrestling and soccer teams, and received the US Army and Air Force
Science Award; he plans to attend East Stroudsburg University, major in
Biology, and compete on the school's wrestling team; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for his classmates, Eric Janusz-
kiewicz has brought honor to his family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Eric Januszkiewicz may stand with pride in his achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of his labors and the joy of his accom-
plishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as he contin-
ues his education; and
WHEREAS, Eric Januszkiewicz represents the potential inherent in our
most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to
honor this young man, recognizing his achievements and the promise of
his future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Erie Januszkiewicz upon the occasion of his designation as recipi-
ent of a 2013 Mid-Hudson Athletic League Senior Scholar Athlete Award,
and to wish him well in his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Eric Januszkiewicz.
