LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jennifer Rutkowski upon the occasion of
her designation as a recipient of a 2013 Mid-Hudson Athletic League
Senior Scholar Athlete Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Jennifer
Rutkowski upon the occasion of her designation as a recipient of a 2013
Mid-Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) Senior Scholar Athlete Award; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Jennifer Rutkowski has distin-
guished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purpose-
fulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years;
and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Rutkowski, a student at Wallkill Senior High School
in Wallkill, New York, is ranked 20th in her class and is a member of
the tennis and Nordic ski teams; and
WHEREAS, She is a member of National Honor Society, Wind Ensemble, and
All-State Band and Orchestra; she plans to attend Marist College, and
major in Biomedical Sciences; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Jennifer
Rutkowski has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Rutkowski may stand with pride in her achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accom-
plishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she
continues her education; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Rutkowski represents the potential inherent in our
most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to
honor this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of
her future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jennifer Rutkowski upon the occasion of her designation as recipi-
ent of a 2013 Mid-Hudson Athletic League Senior Scholar Athlete Award,
and to wish her well in her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jennifer Rutkowski.
