LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Eddy DayBreak Adult Services upon the
occasion of its designation as recipient of the Ann Marie Sheehy Bright
Horizons Award by The Colonie Senior Service Center

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to organizations of high purpose and worthy accomplishment whose
endeavors have a significant impact on the lives of others and the
community they serve; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Eddy DayBreak
Adult Services upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of the
Ann Marie Sheehy Bright Horizons Award by The Colonie Senior Service
Center; this momentous occasion was celebrated at the Colonie Senior
Service Centers' Annual Founders' Awards Dinner, on Monday, October 21,
2013; and
WHEREAS, The Colonie Senior Service Center (CSSC) is a non-profit,
community-based senior service organization serving seniors and their
families in Albany County, Schenectady County, Rensselaer County and
throughout the Capital Region, for the past 30 years; and
WHEREAS, Each year, at the Founders' Awards Dinner, The Colonie Senior
Service Center honors businesses and community leaders who reflect the
commitment, vision and leadership exemplified by its founders; and
WHEREAS, Eddy DayBreak is an innovative adult day service that strives
to improve the quality of life for seniors who continue to live inde-
pendently within the community, or who are cared for by family members;
and
WHEREAS, For more than two decades, Eddy DayBreak programs have
offered a full range of health and social services to support older
adults with physical, emotional, or mental impairments, or who require
supervision and/or medical care; services enable these individuals to
remain independent for as long as possible, while allowing their care-
givers relief from the responsibilities of at-home caregiving; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
recognize Eddy DayBreak Adult Day Services for its unwavering commitment
to senior citizens, as it provides an uncompromising standard of excel-
lence in the delivery of superlative service to the community and indi-
viduals it so ably serves; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Eddy DayBreak Adult Services upon the occasion of its designation
as recipient of the Ann Marie Sheehy Bright Horizons Award by The Colo-
nie Senior Service Center; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Eddy DayBreak Adult Services.
