LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kenya K. Hobbs upon the occasion of his
induction into the Bennett High School Sports Hall of Fame

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
outstanding individuals who distinguish themselves through their excep-
tional performance, attaining unprecedented success and the highest
level of personal achievement; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to honor
Kenya K. Hobbs upon the occasion of his induction into the Bennett High
School Sports Hall of Fame, recognizing his outstanding contributions to
the City of Buffalo and the Western New York community; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of Buffalo, Kenya K. Hobbs has
dedicated his entire career to public service, focusing his efforts on
improving lives in underserved communities in various roles with Women
for Human Rights and Dignity, Inc., Edward Saunders Community Center,
Buffalo Employment and Training Center, and the City of Buffalo; and
WHEREAS, Kenya K. Hobbs' current position as Community Engagement
Specialist with Buffalo Promise neighborhood, along with his exceptional
commitment and natural leadership qualities, places him as a highly
visible, accessible role model and motivator for youth throughout West-
ern New York; and
WHEREAS, Kenya K. Hobbs' dedication to his community is only surpassed
by his love for his wife, Dianna, and his children, all of whom feel
privileged to be a part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Kenya K. Hobbs has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such outstanding accomplishments are brought to our attention,
they should be recognized by all the citizens of this great Empire
State; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is moved to honor Kenya K. Hobbs for
his extraordinary accomplishments which are a tribute to his skill,
dedication and commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations with
praise and pride to honor Kenya K. Hobbs upon the occasion of his
induction into the Bennett High School Sports Hall of Fame; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kenya K. Hobbs.
