LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Frank Petrocelli upon the occasion of
his designation as the recipient of a 2014 SUNY Chancellor's Award for
Excellence in Adjunct Teaching

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character
whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in the great
State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Frank Petrocelli upon the occasion of his designation as the recipient
of a 2014 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching;
and
WHEREAS, The Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching
recognizes consistently superior teaching at the graduate, undergradu-
ate, or professional level; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, this illustrious award underscores SUNY's
commitment to sustaining intellectual vibrancy, advancing the boundaries
of knowledge, providing the highest quality of instruction, and serving
the public; and
WHEREAS, Adjunct teachers, such as Frank Petrocelli who teaches at
Sullivan County Community College, are a key component of the SUNY
faculty, providing top-quality instruction and making an important
contribution to academic success and degree completion among students;
and
WHEREAS, Frank Petrocelli, a role model within the SUNY community, is
truly the best of the best, having demonstrated extraordinary dedication
to his students and an exceptional commitment to teaching excellence;
and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career thus far, Frank Petrocelli has brought
an uncompromising standard of excellence to his work and a warm sense of
caring and concern to every person he educates; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
express its highest admiration for Frank Petrocelli and to wish him
continued success in his endeavors; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Frank Petrocelli upon the occasion of his designation as the
recipient of a 2014 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Adjunct
Teaching; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Frank Petrocelli.
