LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Lois Gerace of Batavia, New York,
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the 2012 Geneseean
of the Year Award by the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business organ-
izations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare of
the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Lois Gerace of Batavia, New York, upon the occasion of her desig-
nation as recipient of the 2012 Geneseean of the Year Award by the
Genesee County Chamber of Commerce; this auspicious occasion will be
celebrated at the Chamber's Annual Awards Ceremony, to be held on Satur-
day, April 13, 2013, at the Clarion Hotel; and
WHEREAS, Lois Gerace of Batavia, New York, has been the co-owner of
Bob Harris Realty since 1986; she has been a realtor for over 40 years;
and
WHEREAS, A member of the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors and
Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors, Lois Gerace of Batavia, New
York, received the 2004 Graduate Institute designation and the 2008
Genesee Valley Board of Realtors Award for Realtor of the Year; and
WHEREAS, Lois Gerace is a Board member of the Genesee County Habitat
for Humanity, as well as active in Genesee Cancer Assistance, Rotary
events and the City of Batavia Assessment Board of Review; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Lois Gerace of
Batavia, New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions and individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought
to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Lois Gerace of Batavia, New York, upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2012 Geneseean of the Year Award by the
Genesee County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Lois Gerace, Batavia, New York.
