LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the Jefferson County Agricultural
Promotion Board upon the occasion of celebrating the 50th Annual Dairy
Princess Coronation

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business organ-
izations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare of
the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, The agricultural and dairy industry are part of the founda-
tion upon which our distinct American Heritage is built; New York State
and the entire United States are dependent on our agricultural and dairy
industry for the excellence and variety of American food and dairy
products; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late the Jefferson County Agricultural Promotion Board upon the occasion
of celebrating the 50th Annual Dairy Princess Coronation; this auspi-
cious occasion will take place on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Fireside
at Partridge Berry Inn in Watertown, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Dairy Princess Coronation is an annual tribute to the
dairy industry of Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS, In addition, the 50th Annual Dairy Princess Coronation is an
excellent promotion for the dairy farmers of Jefferson County, New York;
and
WHEREAS, The 2012-2013 Jefferson County Dairy Princess, Kristia Otey;
Alternates, Autumn Brownell and Nicole Valin; and Dairy Ambassadors,
Krystle Burger, Casey Porter, and Danielle Simmons have been excellent
promoters for the dairy farmers of Jefferson County, New York; attend-
ance at the 50th Annual Dairy Princess Coronation and Banquet will honor
and thank them for their hard work; and
WHEREAS, The auspicious occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Dairy
Princess Coronation, presents a unique opportunity for this Legislative
Body to recognize and pay tribute to both the Dairy Princess Coronation
and Jefferson County Agricultural Promotion Board; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when business
organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Jefferson County Agricultural Promotion Board upon the
occasion of celebrating the 50th Annual Dairy Princess Coronation; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Jefferson County Agricultural Promotion Board.
