LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Cindy Wadach upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Founders Award by Community Caregivers
on November 15, 2014

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Cindy Wadach upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Founders Award by Community Caregivers on Saturday, November 15, 2014;
and
WHEREAS, Cindy Wadach has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, Cindy Wadach served as the Director of Senior Services for
the Town of Guilderland for 12 years until her retirement in 2013; and
WHEREAS, Prior to becoming Guilderland Senior Services Director, this
esteemed woman had an impressive career teaching, and later working with
St. Mary's Hospital in Troy and the Carney Hospital in Boston as the
Director of Volunteers; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Cindy Wadach worked in two adult homes, St.
Mary's Woodland Village and Albany Guardian Society; and
WHEREAS, Cindy Wadach has been highly active since her retirement, and
has contributed her time to volunteer efforts throughout the Town of
Guilderland, including the Chamber of Commerce, the Library Foundation,
the Food Pantry, the Democratic Committee, the Schoolcraft House, and
Community Caregivers; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Cindy Wadach upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Founders Award by Community Caregivers; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Cindy Wadach.
