LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Brenda Mikolajczak upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the 2015 Community Bank Heroes Award

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Brenda Mikolajczak has given not only of her time and ener-
gies but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and conse-
quently has been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Brenda Miko-
lajczak upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the 2015
Community Bank Hero Award celebrated on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the
annual Banking New York Conference and Community Bank Heroes Awards in
Tarrytown, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Community Bank Heroes Award honors the achievements,
commitment and dedication of financial professionals who go above and
beyond for their institutions and community performing acts of goodwill
and kindness; and
WHEREAS, Brenda Mikolajczak is a banking officer and retail sales
leader for Evans Bank; she is known for being a true community banking
professional and for her dedication to helping others; and
WHEREAS, This remarkable woman is the Founder and Co-Chair of the
Evans Community Commitment Team, a group of employee volunteers who plan
and execute fundraising events throughout Western New York; and
WHEREAS, In 2014, Brenda Mikolajczak and the Evans Community Commit-
ment Team participated in dozens of events, helping raise significant
funds for local not-for-profit organizations; and
WHEREAS, Brenda Mikolajczak has been called upon to contribute her
time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of herself unstintingly; she serves on the board of direc-
tors for Autism Services, Inc., and is an active volunteer with the
Hamburg Central School District's special education programs; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Brenda Mikolajczak has served as the Campaign
Manager for the Evans United Way giving effort for several years, and is
involved in regional theater; and
WHEREAS, In recognition of her outstanding service, Brenda Mikolajczak
is both the 2012 and 2014 recipient of the Evans President's Award for
outstanding demonstration of the bank's core values; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Brenda Mikolajczak has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Brenda Mikolajczak has displayed
throughout her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Brenda Mikolajczak upon the occasion of her designation as recipi-
ent of the 2015 Community Bank Heroes Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Brenda Mikolajczak.
