LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Madison County Mental Health Clin-
ic upon the occasion of celebrating its one year Anniversary on May 13,
2015

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the efforts
of organizations which provide vital mental health services to individ-
uals and their families, and in so doing, enhance the health and welfare
of the entire City and State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Madison County Mental Health Clinic upon the occasion of celebrating
its one year Anniversary on Wednesday, May 13, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 2014, the Madison County Mental Health Clinic
assists individuals and families affected by mental disabilities and
substance abuse issues with services and support designed to improve
their quality of life and participation in community living; and
WHEREAS, Inspired by the clinic model of Family Counseling Services of
Cortland County, this vital organization has provided 3,936 mental
health counseling visits for 1,375 people living in Madison County; and
WHEREAS, The Madison County Mental Health Clinic is Narcan certified,
and able to provide life-saving treatment in emergency situations; it
has conducted over 15,000 alcohol and substance abuse counseling visits
to residents of Madison County during the past year; and
WHEREAS, Throughout its distinguished history, the Madison County
Mental Health Clinic has been committed to providing high quality
services and supports to the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Madison County Mental Health Clinic is due
in large part to the efforts of its outstanding administration and
staff, whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an
impressive commitment, an unbridled passion for care, and an uncompro-
mising standard of excellence in all their endeavors on behalf of the
clinic and the population it serves; and
WHEREAS, Individuals and organizations, such as the Madison County
Mental Health Clinic, contribute significantly to the health and welfare
of all citizens and merit the highest commendation and the recognition
and appreciation of all the citizens of the City and State of New York;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Madison County Mental Health Clinic upon the occasion of
celebrating its one year Anniversary on May 13, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Madison County Mental Health Clinic.
