LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kasey Barber upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic
Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior Scholar

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Kasey Barber
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior
Scholar; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Kasey Barber has distinguished
herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and maturity,
establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purposefulness of
life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, Kasey Barber, a student at Liberty High School in Liberty,
New York, ranked 3rd in her class with a 97.7 GPA; she played soccer and
golf, and was a member of the cheerleading team; and
WHEREAS, President of the National Honor Society, Kasey Barber was a
New York State Regional Science Olympiad competitor, and participated in
symphonic band; she plans to study biological sciences toward a degree
in veterinary medicine; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Kasey Barber
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Kasey Barber may stand with with pride in her achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy or her accom-
plishments eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she contin-
ues her education; and
WHEREAS, Kasey Barber represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kasey Barber upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2015 Senior Scholar, and to wish her well in her future endeavors; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kasey Barber.
