LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Olivia Guh upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic
Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior Scholar

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Olivia Guh
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior
Scholar; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Olivia Guh has distinguished
herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and maturity,
establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purposefulness of
life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, Olivia Guh, a student at Middletown High School in Middle-
town, New York, ranked 8th in her class with a 97.5 GPA; she played both
tennis and softball; and
WHEREAS, A member of the National Honor Society, Olivia Guh partic-
ipated in many activities for Middletown Athletes Care; she plans to
attend college and major in psychology; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Olivia Guh has
brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Olivia Guh may stand with pride in her achievements, experi-
encing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accomplish-
ments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she continues
her education; and
WHEREAS, Olivia Guh represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Olivia Guh upon the occasion of her designation for special recog-
nition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a
2015 Senior Scholar, and to wish her well in her future endeavors; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Olivia Guh.
