LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Grace Rotar upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic
Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior Scholar

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Grace Rotar
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior
Scholar; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Grace Rotar has distinguished
herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and maturity,
establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purposefulness of
life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, Grace Rotar, a student at Warwick Valley High School in
Warwick, New York, ranked 1st in her class with a 96.9 GPA; she was a
member of the cross country track team; and
WHEREAS, A member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta,
Grace Rotar was the valedictorian candidate, and served as an ambassador
for Girl Scouts of America; she plans to major in Criminal Justice and
Law; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Grace Rotar has
brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Grace Rotar may stand with pride in her achievements, experi-
encing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accomplish-
ments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she continues
her education; and
WHEREAS, Grace Rotar represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Grace Rotar upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2015 Senior Scholar, and to wish her well in her future endeavors; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Grace Rotar.
