LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Alison Toscano upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic
Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior Scholar

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Alison Toscano
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior
Scholar; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Alison Toscano has distin-
guished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purpose-
fulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years;
and
WHEREAS, Alison Toscano, a student at Tuxedo High School in Tuxedo,
New York, ranked 3rd in her class with a 96.4 GPA; she participated in
numerous sports including soccer, basketball, and softball; and
WHEREAS, Treasurer of the National Honor Society, Alison Toscano was a
member of the Student Council; she plans to attend Rutgers University
School of Engineering; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Alison Toscano
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Alison Toscano may stand with pride in her achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accom-
plishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she
continues her education; and
WHEREAS, Alison Toscano represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Alison Toscano upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2015 Senior Scholar, and to wish her well in her future endeavors; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Alison Toscano.
