LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Victoria Twombly upon the occasion of
being named an Outstanding Student by the Capital District YMCA on May
14, 2015
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Victoria Twombly upon the occasion of being named an Outstanding Student
by the Capital District YMCA to be celebrated at its 10th Annual Student
and Educator Awards Breakfast Reception, on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at
the Sarazen Student Union, Siena College, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, This commendation honors high school students and educators
for their dedication to service in their schools, community, and local
YMCA; and
WHEREAS, Victoria Twombly is currently a junior at Loudonville Chris-
tian High School; this exceptional young woman is extremely dedicated in
giving back to both her school and her community; and
WHEREAS, For many years, Victoria Twombly has participated in various
volunteer activities such as working at the Ronald McDonald House,
Koinonia Health Care, and the Albany City Rescue Mission; and
WHEREAS, In her school, Victoria Twombly holds the position of Class
Chaplain and helps to plan fundraisers; she truly exemplifies excellence
in academics, extracurricular activities, and community service; and
WHEREAS, With a sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Victoria Twombly represents the best development of the potential which
is inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to wish Victoria Twombly continued success throughout her school
years and beyond; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Victoria Twombly upon the occasion of being named an Outstanding
Student by the Capital District YMCA on May 14, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Victoria Twombly.
