LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Morgan Menzzasalma upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the Orange County Interscho-
lastic Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior Scholar-Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Morgan Menzza-
salma upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2015 Senior
Scholar-Athlete; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Morgan Menzzasalma has distin-
guished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purpose-
fulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years;
and
WHEREAS, Morgan Menzzasalma, a student at Monroe-Woodbury High School,
is ranked 6th in her class with a 99.07 GPA; she also ran both indoor
and outdoor track; and
WHEREAS, The Secretary of the National Honor Society, Treasurer of the
Italian Honor Society, and President of the Athletic Club, Morgan Menz-
zasalma plans to attend Fordham University and participate on the track
and field team; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Morgan Menzza-
salma has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Morgan Menzzasalma may stand with pride in her achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accom-
plishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she
continues her education; and
WHEREAS, Morgan Menzzasalma represents the potential inherent in our
most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to
honor this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of
her future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Morgan Menzzasalma upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Asso-
ciation as a 2015 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish her well in her
future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Morgan Menzzasalma.
