LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Paula M. Constanza upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the 2015 John Reading Award by the ARC
of Oswego County

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those individuals
whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stat-
ure of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who are devoted to the welfare of their community and its citizen-
ry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Paula M. Constanza upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 2015 John Reading Award by the ARC of Oswego County; and
WHEREAS, The John Reading Award recognizes those with the personal
commitment, vision, passion and resolve to improve the quality of life
for people with disabilities; and
WHEREAS, The mission of the ARC of Oswego County, a private, not-for-
profit organization, is to be a leader in the field of developmental
disabilities, committed to meeting the needs of individual growth,
productivity, and independence through education, advocacy, and
increased community acceptance and participation; and
WHEREAS, Paula M. Constanza has worked as an LPN at Oswego Industries
and ARC of Oswego County for the past 16 years; and
WHEREAS, This extraordinary woman volunteers for ARC events and gives
wholeheartedly to those with developmental disabilities, and has earned
the admiration and esteem of her colleagues and her community; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Paula M. Constanza upon the occasion of her designation as recipi-
ent of the 2015 John Reading Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Paula M. Constanza.
