LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Timothy Moore upon the occasion of his
induction into the 2015 New York State Section III Wrestling Hall of
Fame

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those nota-
ble teachers, coaches and administrators within our midst, who serve the
youth of this great Empire State, and who have distinguished themselves
and their communities through their exemplary athletic and professional
achievements; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concerns, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Timothy Moore upon the occasion of his induction into the New York State
Section III Wrestling Hall of Fame; and
WHEREAS, Timothy "Tim" Moore graduated in 1965 from Bainbridge-Guil-
ford High School where he was a member of the wrestling team; and
WHEREAS, He continued his participation in wrestling at Dutchess
Community College and after graduating from St. Lawrence University,
began teaching at LaFargeville Central School where he started the
school's first wrestling program; and
WHEREAS, Tim Moore also served as a longtime wrestling coach for
Fulton High School, and has been involved in scholastic wrestling in
Central New York for more than 50 years, including his involvement in a
summer wrestling league which he ran for six years; and
WHEREAS, His accomplishments were previously recognized when, in 2002,
Tim Moore was named by WRESTLING USA MAGAZINE as runner up Assistant
Coach of the Year; and
WHEREAS, The New York State Section III Wrestling Hall of Fame recog-
nizes individuals who have significantly improved wrestling in New York
State; and
WHEREAS, The Section III Wrestling Hall of Fame is the highest honor
that can be bestowed upon a member of Section III, and is indicative of
a lifetime of hard work and dedication to Section III wrestling; Tim
Moore has dedicated a lifetime of giving back to his community and
improving the quality of youth athletics; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such accomplishments are brought to our attention, they should
be recognized by all the citizens of this great Empire State; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance of this meritorious achievement, to
honor Timothy Moore upon the occasion of his induction into the 2015 New
York State Section III Wrestling Hall of Fame; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Timothy Moore.
