LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Paul A. DuBois upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Volunteer Citizen of the Year Award by
Direct Energy and the DAILY GAZETTE

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Paul A. DuBois
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Volunteer Citi-
zen of the Year Award by Direct Energy and the DAILY GAZETTE; this
momentous occasion was celebrated with a Ceremony on Thursday, October
15, 2015, at Veteran's Miracle Center, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Volunteer Citizen of the Year Award is given to an indi-
vidual in recognition of their significant efforts to make their commu-
nity a better place; and
WHEREAS, Paul A. DuBois is being recognized for his work through Moun-
tains to Miracles Veterans Foundation, and for establishing programs
that connect veterans to services which meet their physical, mental and
emotional needs; and
WHEREAS, Having honorably served our country, Paul A. DuBois under-
stands the needs of the veteran community and has been instrumental in
the creation of such programs as the Woofs for Warriors project, which
matches veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder or trau-
matic brain injury with companion dogs; and
WHEREAS, With a passion for volunteerism, Paul A. DuBois' unwavering
commitment to helping others has truly made a difference in the lives of
our nation's veterans; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Paul A. DuBois has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Paul A. DuBois upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the Volunteer Citizen of the Year Award by Direct Energy and the
DAILY GAZETTE; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Paul A. DuBois.
