LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Michael Giangregorio upon the occasion
of his designation as recipient of the Making A Difference Award by the
Eden II & Genesis Foundation Board of Trustees

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Michael Gian-
gregorio upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Making
A Difference Award by the Eden II & Genesis Foundation Board of Trus-
tees, to be celebrated at its Annual Casino Royale Event on Thursday,
April 7, 2016, at The Carltun, East Meadow, New York; and
WHEREAS, Vice President of JP Morgan in the Financing and Markets
Products Division, Michael Giangregorio joined the company in 2006 as a
senior trader on the U.S. Fixed Income Lending Desk; he is accountable
for the lending of U.S. Agency, Mortgage-backed and Corporate Securi-
ties; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Merrick, New York, Michael Giangregorio is an
active and involved member of his community; he is a volunteer leader
with Autism Speaks and serves as Chair of the Executive Committee for
the Long Island Region; and
WHEREAS, Michael Giangregorio is a steadfast advocate for the increase
of funding for research, family services, insurance reform and adult
issues; he is also a member of the Long Island Family Support Consumer
Council, and serves as President of the Board of Trustees of the ELIJA
School, a private school for children with autism; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his loving wife, and their two
children, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Michael Giangregorio has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Michael Giangregorio upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Making A Difference Award by the Eden II & Genesis
Foundation Board of Trustees; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Michael Giangregorio.
