LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Adirondack
Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on September 4, 2014

WHEREAS, Senior citizens bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to
the increasingly active roles they play in today's society; their past
contributions and future participation are a vital part of, and valuable
asset to, the fabric of community life and activity; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those
illustrious organizations of the State of New York whose purposeful
endeavors serve to enhance the quality of life for the cherished senior
citizens in their communities; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commemorate the 40th
Anniversary of Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center,
to be celebrated on Thursday, September 4, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Nestled in the South Central Adirondack Mountains, Adirondack
Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (ATCNRC) provides short
term rehabilitation therapy for individuals following a hospital
discharge, 100 hour Certified Nursing Assistant Program and Medical
Model Adult Day Care Services; and
WHEREAS, Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
offers a chance for the home bound elderly to get out of their homes and
join others who need special care in a friendly and safe environment;
their Adult Day Care Center is located in the nursing home in North
Creek, and is the only service of its kind offered in the South Central
Adirondacks; and
WHEREAS, With the only Outpatient Therapy Services in the area,
Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provides its
patients with Therapists who are well trained and have extensive experi-
ence in many areas of therapy; and
WHEREAS, The Activity Department at Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center is focused on providing group and individual
activity opportunities for its residents; the goal of activity program-
ming is to enhance the residents' highest practicable level of physical,
mental and psychosocial well-being; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, community outings to local restaurants and for
shopping or picnics are held each month where many of the facility's
residents are given the opportunity to enjoy the surroundings of the
beautiful Adirondacks; and
WHEREAS, This significant milestone is an excellent opportunity to
recognize the special contributions of Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center and the dedicated individuals who strive to better
the quality of life for senior citizens in the community; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when insti-
tutions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center on September 4, 2014; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
