LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Domenick A. Cama upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the 2016 HeartShare Genie Foundation
Award by HeartShare Human Services of New York

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding individuals whose professional lives, personal endeavors,
and community service are an example and inspiration to their
colleagues, friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Domenick A. Cama upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the 2016 HeartShare Genie Foundation Award by HeartShare Human Services
of New York to be celebrated at its Spring Gala and Auction on Wednes-
day, March 23, 2016, at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City;
and
WHEREAS, The mission of HeartShare Human Services of New York is to
nurture and support, with dignity and respect, children, adults, and
families in order to expand opportunities and enhance lives; and
WHEREAS, Domenick A. Cama is receiving this auspicious award for his
devotion to his profession and sincere dedication and substantial role
as a community leader; he has continuously cast a positive impact on his
community and displayed an unbridled enthusiasm in all his professional
and civic endeavors; and
WHEREAS, A native of Brooklyn, New York, Domenick A. Cama earned his
Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Finance from
Pace University; and
WHEREAS, Domenick A. Cama began his illustrious banking career as the
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Investors Bank; during his tenure, he
was responsible for the company's successful conversion to a publicly
traded stock company; and
WHEREAS, In January of 2008, Domenick A. Cama was appointed Chief
Operating Officer (COO) of Investors Bank; three years later, he was
named to the Bank's Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, In his role as COO, Domenick A. Cama works closely with other
members of the executive management team to manage the daily operations
of the company; he also works with the Bank's Board Members and Chief
Executive Officer in setting and implementing the strategic direction
for the company; and
WHEREAS, Under his luminous leadership, Investors Bank was recognized
as one of the top 25 performing, publicly traded, small-cap banks in the
United States on Sandler O'Neill's "Bank & Thrift Sm-All Stars" report
for three consecutive years beginning in 2011; in addition, the Bank was
included on FORTUNE'S "Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies" list in 2012,
and for the last four years, was named on FORBES' "Best Banks in Ameri-
ca" list; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to the community in which he lives and works,
Domenick A. Cama has served as the Essex County Heart Walk Survivor
Ambassador for the American Heart Association, where he served as media
spokesperson, and key speaker at many of its New Jersey events; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, this remarkable man serves on the Board of
Directors for the Madison YMCA, the Raritan Bay Medical Center Founda-
tion and the CIIAC; and
WHEREAS, In 2011, Domenick A. Cama was recognized by the Raritan Bay
Medical Center Foundation as Executive of the Year and was honored by
the Center for Italian and Italian American Culture (CIIAC) as its Man
of the Year; recently, he was selected as the Man of the Year by The

Federation of Italian - American Organizations (FIAO) and was the recip-
ient of the 2014 Shuey Horowitz Humanitarian Award from HomeSharing; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife, Wendy, and his three
children, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, It the sense of this Legislative Body that those who enhance
the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the recognition
and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Domenick A. Cama upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the 2016 HeartShare Genie Foundation Award by HeartShare Human
Services of New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Domenick A. Cama.
