LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Mike Jankowski upon the occasion of
his installation as President of the New York State Association of Coun-
ty Clerks

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Mike Jankowski has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Mike Jankow-
ski upon the occasion of his installation as President of the New York
State Association of County Clerks to be celebrated at a dinner and
swearing in ceremony on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Hilton Albany,
Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, Mike Jankowski, a resident of the Town of Macedon in Wayne
County, is a graduate of St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York;
and
WHEREAS, This esteemed man served on the staff of Senator Michael
Nozzolio from 1993 to 1996, prior to serving as Wayne County Deputy
Treasurer from 1996 to 2005; it was then he became Wayne County Clerk, a
position in which he continues to render faithful, conscientious and
valuable service; and
WHEREAS, Mike Jankowski has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, A member of numerous civic and professional organizations,
Mike Jankowski has served as the Finance Chair of the Wayne County
Action Program, the Audit Chair of the Rochester Genesee Regional Trans-
portation Authority, and Vice President of the Wayne County United Way,
as well as a member of the Newark Wayne Community Hospital Board of
Directors; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Mike Jankowski has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend individ-
uals of outstanding character, who have shown initiative and commitment
toward constantly pursuing higher goals for themselves, and acting as
role models of leadership to be emulated by both peers and young people;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Mike Jankowski upon the occasion of his installation as Presi-
dent of the New York State Association of County Clerks; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Mike Jankowski.
