LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Assistant Principal of Literacy and
Special Needs Sara Panag upon the occasion of her designation as recipi-
ent of the Educational Leadership Award by Healthfirst on May 6, 2016
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge those
outstanding educational leaders and professionals whose dedication and
achievements have been instrumental in developing character and academic
excellence in the young people of New York State; and
WHEREAS, New York State's commitment to education is unparalleled; its
history and stature are secured by the superlative caliber of its educa-
tional professionals and the students they inspire; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in keeping with its time-ho-
nored traditions, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to honor
Assistant Principal of Literacy and Special Needs Sara Panag upon the
occasion of her designation as recipient of the Educational Leadership
Award by Healthfirst at its 5th Annual Educational Leadership Breakfast
on Friday, May 6, 2016, at Grand Prospect Hall, Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, Assistant Principal Sara Panag has been selected for this
esteemed honor in recognition of the leadership, excellence and commit-
ment shown in strengthening the educational pursuits of young people in
New York; and
WHEREAS, Initially designed to recognize the outstanding commitment
and dedication of Parent Coordinators, Healthfirst now commends princi-
pals, parent teacher association staff and other educational profes-
sionals whose obligation to children provides parents and families with
a powerful voice on behalf of every child; and
WHEREAS, The Educational Leadership Awards Breakfast provides an
opportunity to recognize Assistant Principal Sara Panag, and the signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life and the progression of our
educational system, and for all people to gain a greater appreciation of
the role educational professionals will continue to play in our society;
and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals such as Assistant Principal Sara Panag who
foster pride in education and exemplify family engagement which repres-
ents and strengthens the fabric of the people and the State of New York;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Assistant Principal of Literacy and Special Needs Sara Panag upon
the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Educational Leader-
ship Award by Healthfirst on May 6, 2016; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Assistant Principal of Literacy and Special Needs Sara Panag.
