LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Rita Stomerosky Keim upon the
occasion of celebrating her 100th Birthday

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to commemorate and
recognize certain milestones celebrated by citizens of this great Nation
and Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Rita Stomerosky Keim upon the occasion of celebrating her 100th
Birthday; and
WHEREAS, Rita Stomerosky Keim, was born on April 24, 1916, in Olean,
New York, to loving parents, Frank and Martha Stomerosky; she attended
and graduated from Olean High School; and
WHEREAS, Rita Stomerosky met and married the love of her life, Leo
Kenneth Keim, on June 17, 1941; he bravely served our nation as a member
of the United States Army during World War II; and
WHEREAS, Rita Stomerosky Keim contributed immeasurably as a homemaker,
caring for her family and ensuring household affairs were always in
order; and
WHEREAS, Together, Rita and Leo Keim had five wonderful children:
Connie Della Pietra, Joyce (Ray) Jonak, Kenneth (Bonnie) Keim, Kathy
(Timothy) Outman and Michael (Julie) Kiem; today, Rita is the proud
grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Rita Stomerosky Keim has always been active in the community,
lending her time and talent; she was a volunteer for the American Red
Cross, worked on the election board in the Allegany district, and was a
member of the Allegany Lady Knights, the 60 plus club, and the St.
Bonaventure School and Parish; and
WHEREAS, Rita Stomerosky Keim is known by her family, friends and the
community as a devoted and trustworthy individual who always thinks of
others before herself; and
WHEREAS, Rita Stomerosky Keim is beloved by all those who have had the
honor of being in her presence and she has enriched the lives of those
around her through her smile, charm and wisdom which comes only from
profound fullness of years; and
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly recog-
nize and honor the lives of beloved citizens who have reached a remark-
able age and who have witnessed and celebrated the outstanding inno-
vations, cultural developments, and awesome achievements of this country
during the last century; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Rita Stomerosky Keim upon the occasion of celebrating her
100th Birthday; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Rita Stomerosky Keim.
