LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Carolyn Faggioni upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Superintendent's Teacher of the Year
Award by the Sewanhaka Central School District

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge educators of remarkable integrity and character
whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in the State of
New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Carolyn Faggioni upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Superintendent's Teacher of the Year Award by the Sewanhaka Central
School District; and
WHEREAS, At its Opening Day Ceremony, the Sewanhaka Central School
District recognized five teachers for their outstanding service in
educating the young people of the community; and
WHEREAS, The ceremony was highlighted by the presentation of the
Superintendent's Teacher of the Year Award for Profession Excellence to
Carolyn Faggioni of Floral Park Memorial High; and
WHEREAS, Carolyn Faggioni has been called upon to contribute her time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, The future success of our State and Nation is dependent upon
individuals such as Carolyn Faggioni who have dedicated their lives as
educators, nurturing our most precious resource, our youth; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career thus far, Carolyn Faggioni has brought
an uncompromising standard of excellence to her work and a warm sense of
caring and concern to every young person she educates; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Carolyn Faggioni upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the Superintendent's Teacher of the Year Award by the Sewanhaka
Central School District; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Carolyn Faggioni.
