LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Noble Gas
Solutions to be celebrated March 17, 2015

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 75th Anniversary of Noble Gas Solutions to be celebrated at
its kick-off event on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at its headquarters in
Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, Noble Gas Solutions is a gas distribution and welding supply
company which was founded in 1940 as Albany Welding Supply Company,
Inc., renamed AWESCO in 1985, and Noble Gas Solutions in 2010; and
WHEREAS, A cornerstone of the business community in Albany's North
End, Noble Gas Solutions was formed during a time of vibrant light and
heavy manufacturing in the Capital Region; and
WHEREAS, Since 1986, under the leadership of J. David Mahoney, Owner,
CEO and President, Noble Gas Solutions has continued to evolve in order
to address the newest advances in the region's business sector, includ-
ing its rapid ascension in the global high-technology industry; and
WHEREAS, Noble Gas Solutions specializes in delivering industrial
grade and pure grade gases to industrial, specialty, and medical indus-
tries, and is recognized as a trusted partner for customers requiring a
premier supplier of gases and associated products, cylinder management
services, and technical expertise; and
WHEREAS, Noble Gas Solutions has been honored by the U.S. Small Busi-
ness Administration with its 2007 Excellence in Small Business Award,
and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce with the 2015 Blue Ribbon Small Busi-
ness Award in recognition as one of the top 100 small businesses in
America; and
WHEREAS, Noble Gas Solutions has consistently demonstrated a strong
commitment to giving back to the community through philanthropic and
volunteer support of charitable organizations and causes; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Noble Gas Solutions to be celebrated
March 17, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to J. David Mahoney, Owner, CEO and President, Noble Gas
Solutions.
