LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the Delaware Academy Central
School District at Delhi upon the occasion of being ranked 112 out of
431 Upstate Schools by Buffalo Business First

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of true purpose and high achievement whose
exemplary programs and accomplishment clearly demonstrate an enduring
pursuit of excellence in the education of the youth of the Empire State;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late the Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi upon the
occasion of being ranked 112 out of 431 Upstate Schools by Buffalo Busi-
ness First; and
WHEREAS, The Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi is a
community of teachers, parents, students and administrators who are
dedicated to inspiring young people to achieve greater heights of
academic excellence; and
WHEREAS, Since the 2010-2011 school year, the Delaware Academy Central
School District at Delhi has advanced 18 places in the BUFFALO BUSINESS
FIRST Upstate New York School District rankings; and
WHEREAS, In addition, this esteemed school district has achieved the
Silver Ranking for being one of the best high schools in the United
States according to U.S. NEWS AND WORLD REPORT, a distinction placing it
in the top 7% of all high schools in the United States; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous direction of Superintendent Jason D.
Thomson, the Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi has
continually demonstrated an impressive dedication, an unparalleled
devotion and an unremitting enthusiasm for the quality of educational
programs and opportunities offered for the benefit of its faculty and
students as well as for the entire community; and
WHEREAS, The steadfast and unyielding commitment of parents, educators
and administrators to provide the highest quality education for students
has become the hallmark and tradition of Delaware Academy Central School
District at Delhi; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when educa-
tional institutions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought
to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the
citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi upon
the occasion of being ranked 112 out of 431 Upstate Schools by Buffalo
Business First; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jason D. Thomson, Superintendent, the Delaware Academy
Central School District at Delhi.
