LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Queensbury High School student Alex
Hohman upon the occasion of capturing the overall boys' state title at
the 2015 New York State Boys' Skiing Championships
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body takes pleasure in honoring talented high
school athletes who distinguish themselves and their community through
outstanding athletic performance; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to
commend Queensbury High School student Alex Hohman upon the occasion of
capturing the overall boys' state title at the 2015 New York State Boys'
Skiing Championships held at Whiteface Mountain, Lake Placid, New York,
on Tuesday, February 24, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Queensbury High School student Alex Hohman was the runner up
in both the slalom and giant slalom races at the New York State Boys'
Skiing Championships; in the giant slalom race, his time was 1:48.44; in
the slalom, his winning time was 1:34.39; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Alex Hohman was named overall boys' champion at
the 2015 New York State Ski Championships; and
WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be achieved
only through strenuous practice; Alex Hohman's dedication to skiing is a
year-round, everyday commitment; he is highly focused and has developed
a matchless work ethic; and
WHEREAS, Alex Hohman's exemplary performance is reflective of his
dedication, determination and personal commitment; his achievements
stand as a hallmark of what is best in the families, schools and commu-
nities across New York State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Queensbury High School student Alex Hohman upon the occasion of
capturing the overall boys' state title at the 2015 New York State Boys'
Skiing Championships, and to congratulate him for the enduring honor he
has brought to his family, his school and his community; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Alex Hohman.
