COMMENDING Mickey Rats Beach Club/Captain Kidds
upon the occasion of its designation as the 2016
Large Business of the Year by the Evans-Brant
Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses that contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing the economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Mickey Rats Beach Club/Captain Kidds upon the occasion of its
designation as the 2016 Large Business of the Year by the Evans-Brant
Chamber of Commerce, to be celebrated on Saturday, March 25, 2017; and

WHEREAS, For nearly five decades, Richie Alberts, owner of Mickey
Rats Beach Club/Captain Kidds, has created extraordinary entertainment
and a lifetime of memories for residents in the local community, as well
as those throughout Western New York, in addition to creating revenue
for other businesses in the Town of Evans; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to the
community, Richie Alberts has been a staunch supporter of countless
local events and fundraisers throughout his 48 years in business; and

WHEREAS, Under the luminous direction of Richie Alberts, Mickey Rats
Beach Club/Captain Kidds has demonstrated continuous service to the
residents and communities which it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of Mickey Rats Beach Club/Captain Kidds is in
direct correlation to the efforts of Richie Alberts, whose involvement
is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the business and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals and businesses of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be recognized and applauded by all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Mickey Rats Beach Club/Captain Kidds upon the occasion of its
designation as the 2016 Large Business of the Year by the Evans-Brant
Chamber of Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mickey Rats Beach Club/Captain Kidds, Angola, New York.
