HONORING Cali White upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the R.I.G.H.T. Award by
Valley Central PTA Council
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Cali White upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
R.I.G.H.T. Award by Valley Central PTA Council, celebrated at its Annual
Founders' Night in March of 2017; and
WHEREAS, Founders' Night is a reminder of the substantial role that
PTA has played locally, regionally, and nationally in supporting parent
involvement and working on behalf of all children and families; and
WHEREAS, The R.I.G.H.T. Award, which stands for role model,
initiative, goals, helpfulness and to make a difference, is dedicated to
acknowledging the youth of the Valley Central School District who have
demonstrated an exceptional contribution within the community; and
WHEREAS, Sixth grade student Cali White is being recognized with
this auspicious award for her boundless energy and inspiration, as well
as her role in assisting with various fundraising efforts to support
fellow Valley Central students; and
WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to her school
community, Cali White participated in such endeavors as wrapping
Christmas gifts for students, promoting fundraisers, performing clerical
tasks in support of the Backpack Program, and selling candy canes for
the National Junior Honor Society; and
WHEREAS, With her sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Cali White represents the best development of the potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to wish Cali White continued success throughout her school years
and beyond; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Cali White upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the R.I.G.H.T. Award by Valley Central PTA Council; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Cali White.
