COMMENDING Kenmore West Boys Hockey Team Head
Coach Rob Roszak upon the occasion of being named
the 2016-2017 All-Bee Boys Hockey Coach of the Year

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to commend notable educators and
athletic coaches who serve the youth of this great Empire State and who
have distinguished themselves and their schools through outstanding
commitment and exemplary athletic achievement; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Kenmore West Boys Hockey Team Head Coach Rob Roszak upon the
occasion of being named the 2016-17 All-Bee Boys Hockey Coach of the
Year; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Rob Roszak led Kenmore West Boys Hockey Team to
an impressive overall record of 16-6-1 record, the Division IV
regular-season title and reached a hockey championship for the first
time in over a decade in the Section VI Small Schools final on February
27, 2017, at Keybank Center in Buffalo, New York; and

WHEREAS, Beginning his coaching career at Hoover Middle School, Rob
Roszak led the modified girls soccer team for four years and went on to
Kenmore East as Varsity Assistant Outdoor Track and Field Coach for
three years before taking the position at Kenmore West; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Rob Roszak's loyalty to his team members is
truly admirable; all who have had the privilege to work with him have
known him to be an honest and hard-working Coach who always made the
needs and concerns of his students his top priority; and

WHEREAS, Dedicated to his team, Head Coach Rob Roszak will be
holding a three-day summer camp for younger players in the Kenmore West
program during the off-season; and

WHEREAS, A true asset to the Buffalo, New York region, Head Coach
Rob Roszak has educated and touched the lives of many students on and
off the field; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Rob Roszak's positive demeanor, selfless
commitment, and caring concern have contributed to his enduring success
as a coach and mentor, earning him the just respect and admiration of
his community, his peers, and the athletes he has so ably coached; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Kenmore West Boys Hockey Team Head Coach Rob Roszak upon the
occasion of being named the 2016-17 All-Bee Boys Hockey Coach of the
Year; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Head Coach Rob Roszak.
