HONORING K-Technologies upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the Community
Involvement Award by Buffalo Business First on May
16, 2017
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those businesses which substantially contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to
honor K-Technologies upon the occasion of its designation as recipient
of the Community Involvement Award by Buffalo Business First at its 2017
Manufacturing Awards Ceremony celebrated on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at
Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Depew, New York; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1997, K-Technologies manufactures components for
high-reliability industries, such as solenoids, cable harnesses, coils,
magnetics, and box assemblies; and
WHEREAS, K-Technologies has been working with both local and state
to secure Empire State Development funds; these funds allowed the
company to move from 5,400 square feet to a 54,000 square foot facility,
setting the stage for new programs and expanded advanced-manufacturing
capability; and
WHEREAS, This additional business energized the company to grow from
40 to 75 employees, meeting ESD annual employment criteria; this also
supported efforts to invest in significant tool and equipment upgrades,
and enabled the company to remain in Western New York; and
WHEREAS, The success of K-Technologies is in direct correlation to
the efforts of its CEO, Jeff Kryszak; General Manager, Edward Tierney;
Chief Engineer, Rob Desjardins; Production Manager, Diane Cosnyka; Plant
Manager, Steve Finch; Personnel Director, Paul Emond; Assistant Plant
Manager, Alison McIntosh; Community Relations Manager, Nina Heard; and
its employees, whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized
by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an
uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the
institution and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor K-Technologies upon the occasion of its designation as recipient
of the Community Involvement Award by Buffalo Business First on May 16,
2017; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jeff Kryszak, CEO, K-Technologies.
