HONORING Emily Perryman upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the May C. Randazzo
Outstanding Practitioner Award by the Public
Relations Society of America Buffalo Niagara Chapter

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made
significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Emily Perryman upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
May C. Randazzo Outstanding Practitioner Award by the Public Relations
Society of America Buffalo Niagara Chapter, to be celebrated at its 28th
Annual Excalibur Awards Ceremony on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Tralf
Music Hall in Buffalo, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Public Relations Society of America is the world's
largest organization for public relations professionals with more than
22,000 members globally; founded in 1963, the Buffalo Niagara Chapter
has more than 160 members representing all areas of business and
industry, including corporate, nonprofit, government, counseling firms,
educational institutions and professional service firms; and

WHEREAS, Each year, the Public Relations Society of America Buffalo
Niagara Chapter celebrates the programs, projects and people that
strengthen and sharpen its profession with the annual Excalibur Awards;
and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Emily Perryman has displayed
throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Emily Perryman upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the May C. Randazzo Outstanding Practitioner Award by the Public
Relations Society of America Buffalo Niagara Chapter; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Emily Perryman.
