HONORING Cristina Pietromonaco upon the occasion
of her designation for special recognition by
Cellini Lodge No. 2206, Order Sons of Italy in
America

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Cristina Pietromonaco upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by Cellini Lodge No. 2206, Order Sons of Italy in America,
to be celebrated at its Annual Awards Night on Thursday, June 8, 2017,
at the Marcus Christ Community Hall, New Hyde Park, New York; and

WHEREAS, Cellini Lodge No. 2206, Order Sons of Italy in America
(OSIA) is one of the largest lodges of OSIA in New York State; for
nearly 50 years, this vital organization has demonstrated its commitment
to the New Hyde Park community, promoting education, culture, and
charitable giving; and

WHEREAS, The daughter of Michael and Pietromonaco, Cristina
Pietromonaco graduated from New Hyde Park Memorial High School and is
planning to attend Sacred Heart College with the goal of becoming a
Teacher; and

WHEREAS, This extraordinary young woman is the proud recipient of
the Gold 4-year Prisco Memorial Scholarship Award, the Sciame Family
Memorial Scholarship Award, the Anthony DeBiase Family Memorial
Scholarship Award for Italian Language and the Gagliardo Family Memorial
Scholarship Award; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her high school career, Cristina Pietromonaco
has displayed exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of
community responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is
unparalleled; and

WHEREAS, Cristina Pietromonaco, in achieving this academic honor,
may take just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of
excellence she brings to her family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Cristina Pietromonaco upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by Cellini Lodge No. 2206, Order Sons of Italy in
America, and to extend best wishes for a future of purposeful success
and well-being; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Cristina Pietromonaco.
