Senate Resolution No. 3408

HONORING Chad Lahr upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2018 Chamber
Champion Award by the Geneva Area Chamber of
Commerce on January 25, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals who substantially contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Chad Lahr upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the 2018
Chamber Champion Award by the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce to be
celebrated at its Annual Dinner Banquet on Thursday, January 25, 2018,
at Club 86 in Geneva, New York; and

WHEREAS, This inaugural award is given to outstanding board and
committee members who have gone above and beyond to show their support
and involvement towards not only understanding, but participating in
various Chamber programs and events; Chad Lahr is truly deserving of
this prestigious honor; and

WHEREAS, Chad Lahr is an active supporter of the Geneva Area Chamber
of Commerce and is committed to informing others about the benefits of
the Chamber and how it can assist new member businesses to prosper and
thrive; and

WHEREAS, A successful businessman, Chad Lahr is the owner and
founder of Community Proud Apparel, co-owner of I Heart the FLX clothing
line, founder of FLX Entrepreneur Club, and owner/manager of a variety
of other small businesses and properties in the region; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Chad Lahr upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
2018 Chamber Champion Award by the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce; and
be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Chad Lahr.
