HONORING Bram Corregan upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2018 Scholarship
Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Bram Corregan upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
2018 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter
of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, This momentous occasion will be celebrated at the 20th
Annual Tuition Assistance Awards Gala, "Celebrating A Twenty Year Legacy
of Mentoring Excellence" on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Anthony's
Pier 9, New Windsor, New York; and

WHEREAS, An exceptional student-athlete with a 4.0 GPA at Newburgh
Free Academy (NFA), Bram Corregan takes a full slate of Advanced
Placement courses while playing both football and lacrosse for his
school; and

WHEREAS, After graduation, Bram Corregan hopes to continue his
education studying computer science at Northeastern University; he also
plans on participating in the school's AFROTC Program in order to
graduate as a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force with the aim of working
in cyber security; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his high school career, Bram Corregan has
displayed exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community
responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled;
and

WHEREAS, Bram Corregan, in achieving this academic honor, may take
just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of
excellence he brings to his family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Bram Corregan upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the 2018 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., and to extend best wishes for a future
of purposeful success and well-being; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Bram Corregan.
