COMMENDING Geralyn M. Ruhle upon the occasion of
her retirement after more than 34 years of
distinguished service to the New York State
Legislative Bill Drafting Commission
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize
outstanding individuals whose professional lives are both an example and
an inspiration to their colleagues, friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Geralyn M. Ruhle upon the occasion of her retirement after more
than 34 years of distinguished service to the New York State Legislative
Bill Drafting Commission; she will officially retire on Thursday,
January 11, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Geralyn M. Ruhle began her illustrious career on November
17, 1983, with the Commission as a Receptionist; and
WHEREAS, Through many years of hard work and commitment, Geralyn M.
Ruhle received several promotions during the next three decades; she
held the positions of Fiscal Assistant, Principal Fiscal/Budget
Assistant, Deputy Director for Finance, Assistant Director of
Personnel/Finance, Director of Human Resources, and since November 4,
2004, Director of Administration; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure and in her capacity as Director of
Administration, Geralyn M. Ruhle has truly served as a leader in guiding
the operations of the Human Resource Department into the 21st Century;
and
WHEREAS, After more than 34 years of a job well done, Geralyn M.
Ruhle, a resident of Saratoga Springs, New York, can now enjoy her much
deserved retirement with her husband, Jim, and their two sons, Chad and
Tyler, who have all shown her love and support and rejoice in her many
achievements; and
WHEREAS, In acknowledgment of her exceptional service, it is the
sense of this Legislative Body to extend its highest commendation to
Geralyn M. Ruhle, and to applaud her for her devotion, loyalty and
accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, It is the further sense of this Legislative Body that those
who have shown a long and sustained commitment to the maintenance of
high standards in their profession, certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Geralyn M. Ruhle upon the occasion of her retirement after more
than 34 years of faithful service, and to wish her a healthy and happy
future; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Geralyn M. Ruhle.
