CONGRATULATING Sportsmen's Tavern upon the
occasion of being named Best Americana Venue on the
Globe at the Ameripolitan Awards Ceremony

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to take note of
and publicly recognize those businesses within the State of New York
which have positively impacted their communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Sportsmen's Tavern upon the occasion of being named Best
Americana Venue on the Globe at the Ameripolitan Awards Ceremony held on
Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in Memphis, Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, Established in 1985 by Dwane Hall, the Sportsmen's Tavern
of Buffalo, New York, has slowly transformed from a neighborhood tavern
to one of the best live music venues in the country; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history, Sportsmen's Tavern has
demonstrated continuous service to the residents and communities which
it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of Sportsmen's Tavern is in direct correlation
to the efforts of Dwane Hall and his expert staff, whose involvement is,
and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the business and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Sportsmen's Tavern of
Buffalo, New York; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Sportsmen's Tavern upon the occasion of being named Best
Americana Venue on the Globe at the Ameripolitan Awards Ceremony; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dwane Hall, Sportsmen's Tavern, Buffalo, New York.
