COMMENDING Robin Karpfen, MD, FACOG upon the
occasion of her retirement after 37 years of
distinguished service in the field of women's
healthcare

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those individuals within the medical field who
distinguish themselves through professional excellence and who have made
significant contributions to the quality of life of citizens in the
State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Robin Karpfen, MD, FACOG upon the occasion of her retirement
after 37 years of distinguished service in the field of women's
healthcare; and

WHEREAS, After graduating from the State University of New York
Upstate Medical University in 1981, Dr. Robin Karpfen completed her
residency at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital; and

WHEREAS, Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Robin
Karpfen has served the women and families of both Middletown and Goshen,
New York, for almost four decades; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Robin Karpfen practiced at Crystal Run Healthcare, and
was affiliated with Catskill Regional Medical Center, Community General
Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her esteemed career, Dr. Robin Karpfen served
her patients with intelligence and caring dedication, continuously
striving to effectively fulfill the duties of her position; and

WHEREAS, Sincerely loved and greatly respected by all those with
whom she worked, Dr. Robin Karpfen will be remembered for her honesty,
integrity, keen sense of duty and ability to show a unique grasp of
human problems in her official acts; and

WHEREAS, As a leader in her profession, Dr. Robin Karpfen has proven
herself to be a great asset to medicine and to the health and welfare of
the citizens of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Robin Karpfen, MD, FACOG upon the occasion of her retirement
after 37 years of distinguished service in the field of women's
healthcare, and to wish her continued success in all her future
endeavors; and be it further


RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Robin Karpfen, MD, FACOG.
