HONORING Ronald Vitiello upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2018 Education
Partner Award by Nassau BOCES

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Ronald Vitiello upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
2018 Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES, to be celebrated on
Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Crest Hollow Country Club, Woodbury, New
York; and

WHEREAS, Established in 1967, the Board of Cooperative Educational
Services of Nassau County (Nassau BOCES) is the largest BOCES in New
York State, serving 56 school districts; and

WHEREAS, The Education Partner Award recognizes those who have made
a substantial impact on public education in Nassau County, and who share
in BOCES' commitment to enabling students of all ages and abilities to
achieve their maximum potential; Ronald Vitiello is one such individual;
and

WHEREAS, The Lead Project Maintainer for the Nassau BOCES Department
of Facilities Services, Ronald Vitiello has been called upon to
contribute his time and talents to countless civic and charitable
endeavors and has always given of himself unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Ronald Vitiello has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Department of Facilities Services is in
direct correlation to the efforts of Ronald Vitiello, whose involvement
is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of Nassau BOCES and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Ronald Vitiello has displayed
throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Ronald Vitiello, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Ronald Vitiello upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the 2018 Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Ronald Vitiello.
