HONORING Linda Decker upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition after 50 years
of dedicated service to Seely & Durland Insurance

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Linda Decker upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition after 50 years of dedicated service to Seely & Durland
Insurance; this momentous occasion was recognized with a Luncheon
Celebration on Monday, January 15, 2018, at the Warwick Inn, Warwick,
New York; and

WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Warwick, New York, Linda Decker
graduated from Warwick Valley High School in 1968, before joining Seely
& Durland Insurance; and

WHEREAS, Linda Decker has spent her entire career with Seely &
Durland Insurance, taking over the role of claims manager in 2007, the
vital and esteemed position she continues to hold today; and

WHEREAS, In this capacity, Linda Decker handles all of the Firm's
first and third party claims with effectiveness, kindness and patience;
subsequently, she enjoys a more than 99 percent favorability rating from
her clients; and

WHEREAS, For five decades, Linda Decker has served Seely & Durland
Insurance with loyalty, honor and distinction, earning the admiration,
esteem and affection of her colleagues; and

WHEREAS, The success of Seely & Durland Insurance is in direct
correlation to the efforts of Linda Decker, whose involvement is, and
always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the Firm and the clients it serves; and

WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Steve, and their
three sons, Jason, David and Scott, who have all shown her love and
support and rejoice in her many achievements; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Linda Decker, that future generations may know and appreciate her
admirable character, her many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which she is held by her peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Linda Decker upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition after 50 years of dedicated service to Seely & Durland
Insurance; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Linda Decker.
