HONORING Allen Frishman upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the Sullivan
County Democrat 2018 Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Allen Frishman has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special recognition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Allen
Frishman upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
the Sullivan County Democrat 2018 Men at Work Edition; and

WHEREAS, A resident of Mountaindale, New York, Allen Frishman
attended Monticello High School, and Orange County Community College in
Middletown, New York; for one year, he was enrolled in the Landscape and
Architecture program at Syracuse University before transferring to the
SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry; and

WHEREAS, Allen Frishman served as the Code Enforcement Officer in
Fallsburg, New York, before assuming the title of Chief Code Enforcement
Officer; after more than 20 years, he founded and holds the position of
President of Regional Planning and Permits, a consultancy firm which
works on acquiring building permits and drafting/designing; and

WHEREAS, In this role, Allen Frishman also attends various planning
and zoning board meetings on behalf of his clients; and

WHEREAS, Allen Frishman is also the seasonal liaison for Sullivan
Renaissance working with camps and colonies in a cleanup effort; for the
past few years, he has been a part of the Seasonal Demonstration Grand
Program; and

WHEREAS, In addition, Allen Frishman has helped coordinate the
Sullivan Renaissance Community Mitzvah Award contest, a six-week
competition in which contestants compete for the most improved and
maintained property; and

WHEREAS, For over a decade, Allen Frishman has served as Chairperson
of Fallsburg's O&W Rail-Trail; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and
community service, a period of constructive involvement, Allen Frishman
has stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, When he is not working or helping someone, Allen Frishman
loves spending time with his family, and enjoys hiking, camping and
yoga; currently, he is writing his second book, entitled Tales of a
Catskill Mountain Plumber, Vol. 2; and

WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Lorrie, and their
son, Chad, both of whom have shown him love and support and rejoice in
his many achievements; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Allen Frishman upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Sullivan County Democrat 2018 Men at Work Edition;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Allen Frishman.
