HONORING Polymer Conversions Inc. upon the
occasion of its designation as recipient of the STEM
Educator Award by Buffalo Business First on May 15,
2018

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those businesses which substantially contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to
honor Polymer Conversions Inc. upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the STEM Educator Award by Buffalo Business First to be
celebrated at its 2018 Manufacturing Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15,
2018, at Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Depew, New York; and

WHEREAS, Located in Orchard Park, New York, Polymer Conversions Inc.
(PCI) was founded in 1979, by the Bertsch family who still privately own
it today; and

WHEREAS, PCI is a full-service Medical Injection Molding Contract
Manufacturer that specializes in highly technical, tight tolerance
thermoplastic tools, components, medical devices, assemblies and post
molding applications, with all services done in-house in its plant; and

WHEREAS, The success of Polymer Conversions is in direct correlation
to the efforts of its 250 staff members, whose involvement is, and
always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the institution and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Polymer Conversions Inc. upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the STEM Educator Award by Buffalo Business First on May
15, 2018; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Polymer Conversions Inc.
