HONORING Unifrax LLC upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the General Excellence
Award by Buffalo Business First on May 15, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those businesses which substantially contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to
honor Unifrax LLC upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the General Excellence Award by Buffalo Business First to be celebrated
at its 2018 Manufacturing Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at
Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Depew, New York; and

WHEREAS, Unifrax LLC is a global specialty fibers company focused on
providing innovative thermal management solutions for a variety of end
markets and applications; it is a company with a proven history of
strategic growth through product innovation, market innovation and
geographic expansion, and has successfully added a number of
acquisitions to its portfolio; and

WHEREAS, Today, Unifrax LLC employs more than 2,500 people worldwide
with Corporate Headquarters located in Buffalo, New York; Unifrax LLC
has manufacturing facilities in 12 countries and a sales presence in all
of the world's major industrial regions including North America, Europe,
Australia, Asia, South Africa and South America; and

WHEREAS, The success of Unifrax LLC is in direct correlation to the
efforts of its staff, whose involvement is, and always has been,
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of
the institution and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Unifrax LLC upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the General Excellence Award by Buffalo Business First on May 15, 2018;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Unifrax LLC.
