HONORING The Reverend Darryl L. Hill upon the
occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Ecumenical Award by The Brooklyn Club of the
National Association of Negro Business and
Professional Women's Clubs, Inc.

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Darryl L. Hill has given not only of his time and
energies but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently has been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor The Reverend
Darryl L. Hill upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Ecumenical Award by The Brooklyn Club of the National Association of
Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., to be celebrated at
its 51st Annual Founders' Day Observance, "Empowering Communities and
Shaping Lives," on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Gargiulo's Restaurant,
Brooklyn, New York; and

WHEREAS, A man with a vision for leading a nation to deliverance,
Reverend Darryl L. Hill is a local Pastor with a global mission to
empower and educate the nations through the Word of God; he is anointed
and ordained to reach the broken-hearted, heal the sick and transform
lives; and

WHEREAS, With a true gift for teaching, Reverend Darryl L. Hill
traveled across the United States in 1994, captivating the attention of
many with his Powerful Praise Crusade Ministries; and

WHEREAS, In December of 1999, Reverend Darryl L. Hill became Founder
and Pastor of Powerful Praise Tabernacle, where he has had an
immeasurable impact on the spiritual life and growth of his congregation
and the community-at-large; and

WHEREAS, A native of Brooklyn, New York, and raised in the Van Dyke
Projects, Reverend Darryl L. Hill endured and survived; his experiences
nurtured his unique call to the ministry of reconciliation and enhanced
his ability to transcend tradition in his delivery of the gospel; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Darryl L. Hill completed his first book, Fit to
Endure the Fire, in 2012; additionally, committed to spreading the
gospel across the world, he has gone beyond the pulpit to become CEO of
the Powerful Music Group (PMG), releasing his first project, the
"Powerful Praise Experience Volume I"; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Darryl L. Hill also began The IMPACT Fellowship of
Churches, an organization which provides sound teaching, leadership
training, financial support, organizational development and wise
counsel; and

WHEREAS, In July 2017, Reverend Darryl L. Hill joined the
Pentecostal Churches of Jesus Christ; and

WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Samantha, and their
two daughters, Deajah and Samara, who have all shown him love and
support and rejoice in his many achievements; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Reverend Darryl L. Hill has
displayed throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Reverend Darryl L. Hill, that future generations may know and appreciate
his admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor The Reverend Darryl L. Hill upon the occasion of his designation
as recipient of the Ecumenical Award by The Brooklyn Club of the
National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs,
Inc.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to The Reverend Darryl L. Hill.
