HONORING Senior Investigator Chris L. Baldwin upon
the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Service Above Self Award by the Victor-Farmington
Rotary Club on May 16, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished officers and citizens who would devote
themselves to public service, demonstrating great courage and diligence
in providing for the care and welfare of the citizens of their
communities and this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Within every community of the State of New York there are
certain individuals who, by virtue of their commitment and dedication,
command the respect and admiration of their community for their
exemplary contributions and service on behalf of others; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Senior Investigator Chris L. Baldwin upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Service Above Self Award by the
Victor-Farmington Rotary Club to be celebrated at its Annual Police
Appreciation Dinner, in conjunction with the observance of National
Police Memorial Day, on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Finn's Tap Room in
Victor, New York; and

WHEREAS, In addition, Senior Investigator Chris L. Baldwin will
receive the Paul Harris Fellow Award; and

WHEREAS, Rotary International is dedicated to the development of
fellowship and understanding among business and professional leaders,
the promotion of community-betterment endeavors and of high standards in
business and professional practices, and the advancement of
international understanding, goodwill and peace; and

WHEREAS, Each year the Victor-Farmington Rotary Club proudly
commends individuals who exemplify those principles; Senior Investigator
Chris L. Baldwin truly merits such recognition; and

WHEREAS, A 31-year veteran of the New York State Police, Senior
Investigator Chris L. Baldwin supervises the Bureau of Criminal
Investigation (BCI) investigators who are assigned to criminal
investigations in Ontario County; in 2018, he will officially retire
from this position; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Senior Investigator Chris L. Baldwin
has always been willing to help others and has been an integral part of
numerous investigations conducted within and outside of the
Victor-Farmington area; and

WHEREAS, Senior Investigator Chris L. Baldwin is a consummate
professional who can always be relied upon by members of both the New
York State Police and local enforcement agencies for his cooperative
assistance, direction and advice; and


WHEREAS, Each and every day, Senior Investigator Chris L. Baldwin
arrives at work, fully prepared to help his community and make a
difference; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those
dedicated public servants who unselfishly devote their lives to the
preservation of order and the protection of others are worthy and due
full praise for their commitment and noble endeavors; now, therefore, be
it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Senior Investigator Chris L. Baldwin upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Service Above Self Award by the
Victor-Farmington Rotary Club on May 16, 2018; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Senior Investigator Chris L. Baldwin.
