HONORING Sandi Payne upon the occasion of her
retirement after 10 years of dedicated service as a
Board Member of the Southern Adirondack Library
System
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed
residents of this noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Sandi Payne upon the occasion of her retirement after 10 years of
dedicated service as a Board Member of the Southern Adirondack Library
System, to be celebrated at its 60th Annual Trustee Meeting on Monday,
May 21, 2018, in Saratoga Springs, New York; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her illustrious tenure with the Southern
Adirondack Library System, Sandi Payne has served in leadership roles on
numerous standing committees including Building, Central Library,
Library Services, and Personnel; and
WHEREAS, Sandi Payne also served as Chair for the Audit & Finance
Committee from 2012 to 2013, and as Chair for the Personnel Committee
from 2015 to 2017; and
WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to the Southern
Adirondack Library System, Sandi Payne unstintingly devoted her time,
applying her experience, wisdom, and intelligence to improve public
library services; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Sandi Payne tirelessly advocated for
sustainable library funding and support at every level; and
WHEREAS, For a decade, Sandi Payne rendered faithful, conscientious
and valuable service to the Southern Adirondack Library System, earning
the admiration, esteem and affection of her colleagues; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Southern Adirondack Library System is in
direct correlation to the efforts of Sandi Payne, whose involvement is,
and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves;
and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the occurrence of such a compassionate
blending of strength, leadership, intellect, and commitment as that
demonstrated by Sandi Payne over a lifetime of sacrifice and dedication
to others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Sandi Payne upon the occasion of her retirement after 10 years of
dedicated service as a Board Member of the Southern Adirondack Library
System; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sandi Payne.
