CELEBRATING the life of Cooper DeLello Busch, a
beloved little boy who changed the lives of so many
people for the better

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is deeply moved to inscribe upon its
permanent record this remembrance of Cooper DeLello Busch, a remarkable
boy with an infectious smile, resounding laugh and a spirit that touched
people's souls; one that has left an indelible mark on the people of our
great state; and

WHEREAS, Born on November 26, 2013, Cooper DeLello Busch,
affectionately known as "Super Cooper", gained his angel wings on
Sunday, May 6, 2018; and

WHEREAS, His life's purpose was simple, to make others happy and
everyone Cooper met, fell in love with him; diagnosed with acute myeloid
leukemia in November of 2016, Cooper tenaciously battled his illness and
through it all, showed astounding strength and fearless courage; and

WHEREAS, The Southern Tier community came together as a whole to
support Cooper and his family, using the phrase "Kick it Cooper" and
holding several fundraisers with one fittingly known as Cooperpalooza;
the Sock Out Cancer initiative concert in Binghamton directly benefited
the family to help defray costs incurred while spending time together
and creating memories that will last a lifetime; and

WHEREAS, Four year-old, Binghamton native Cooper DeLello Busch was a
huge sports fan; he was recently overjoyed to have the opportunity to
spend a few days hanging out with the Binghamton Devils Hockey Team,
watching practice, skating with the players, dropping the puck at a
game, and even taking a few silly selfies with his favorite players; and

WHEREAS, Getting the chance to meet the Rumble Ponies baseball team
and their newest member, outfielder Tim Tebow, Cooper took to the
pitcher's mound to throw out the first pitch at a recent game, earning
him a jersey and signed baseball from the team; and

WHEREAS, Knowing Cooper loved anything and everything with an
engine, members of the Metro SWAT Team surprised him with a memorable
visit; the 6th Annual Police Week Charity Basketball Tournament was also
held in his honor between members of local, county and state law
enforcement; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, A Room to Heal transformed both Cooper and his
brother's bedroom into a red, white and blue Superhero's room complete
with a Superhero costume dress-up area and bunk beds with an added
trundle bed to provide extra sleeping space for Mom, Dad, or sleepover
friends; and

WHEREAS, Predeceased by his maternal great-grandparents, Bastine and
Florence DeLello, Cooper DeLello Busch is survived by his loving
parents, Steven and Tara Busch; his big brother, Cole; his little
sister, Hope; paternal grandparents, William (Cheri) Busch, and Maria

(Delello) Busch; maternal grandparents, Dave Cole (Karen Amitrano) and
MaryEllen (Franc) Grabar; aunts and uncles, Mark and Michelle Busch,
Paul and Stacey Busch, Kevin and Sarah Busch and Tim and Lisa Cole;
cousins, Katie and Chloe Busch, Abby Cole and Aiden Mellem; Godparents,
Kevin and Alicia Driesbaugh and their children, Shayne, Shyanne, Devin
Steel and Alivia, along with countless others who loved him as their
own; and

WHEREAS, Cooper DeLello Busch, a little boy of incredible spirit and
enthusiasm, had a loving personality and a genuine care and concern for
others and changed the lives of so many people for the better; his
memory will truly remain in the hearts of all those who had the
privilege of knowing him; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
celebrate the life of Cooper DeLello Busch, and to express its deepest
condolences to his family; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Cooper DeLello Busch.
