CONGRATULATING Mark J. Anders, MD upon the
occasion of being named the 2018 Distinguished
Physician Honoree by the Erie County Medical Center
Corporation and the Erie County Medical Center
Foundation

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend
individuals whose professional commitment and dedication enhance the
excellence of health care in their community and the great State of New
York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Mark J. Anders, MD upon the occasion of being named the
2018 Distinguished Physician Honoree by the Erie County Medical Center
Corporation and the Erie County Medical Center Foundation; and

WHEREAS, Mark J. Anders, MD serves as Director of Orthopaedic Trauma
at the Center for Orthopaedic Care at the Erie County Medical Center
Corporation; he is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the University
at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences; and

WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of his duties and
responsibilities, this exceptional physician's ongoing efforts and
notable achievements have significantly contributed to bettering the
quality of life in his community; and

WHEREAS, Mark J. Anders, MD continuously displays initiative and an
unrelenting commitment when pursuing the highest of goals; he serves as
a role model of leadership to be emulated by all; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Mark J. Anders, MD, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by their peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Mark J. Anders, MD upon the occasion of being named the
2018 Distinguished Physician Honoree by the Erie County Medical Center
Corporation and the Erie County Medical Center Foundation; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mark J. Anders, MD.
